Back to back State Champion swimmers? Back to back—to back State Champion ballers? Oh, that’s Ursuline for you!

Ursuline Swimming claimed their 1st place trophy on February 25th at the DIAA Girls Swimming and Diving State Championship Meet. The girls went 9-1 this past season, only falling short to The Hill School by 10 points. Junior Rory Kendall speaks on their past season, “It was a great year and I am so happy for the friendships I made and the victories we were able to share together!” Congratulations UAST on another great year!

Meanwhile, in the gym, the basketball teamed prepared for their playoff season under John Noonan. The basketball team played Caravel Academy in their final match. In a 54-32 victory, Raiders were excited to bring home the trophy for the third straight year in a row. We recognize junior Maggie Connolly on her award of Gatorade POY and Alisha Lewis who was named Delaware POY. Both Connolly and Lewis are also First Team All-State, and Olivia Mason was Honorable Mention.

Winter track ended their season with their final meet on February 4th and represented Ursuline well under head coach Jim Fischer.  Najiya Cornish kept our success going with a second place finish in DIAA and a FIRST place finish Hershey Indoor National Competition, USTAF.

The Dance team danced their final dance against Caravel Academy. Seniors Celina Ceballos and Maddie Tallman say that they will miss UADANCE but know that they are leaving it in great hands.
